It's been very long that this blog got a new post.
It's always been interesting to review the preparatory work with the final output.
Colorful illustrations are always stunning but it's the Pencil Sketches that tell you, one's approach towards the Character/Compositions.
For our Animation Design "Dhann Janni" we opted for the Old School Technique.
Remember all those rough lines, scribbles that we all did during our School time on our benches or on our notebooks, that's from where we got the Inspiration for the Style, which was maintained through out the 3 minutes image play.
As soon as the Script got finalized(Thanks to Mrs. Jasjit Kaur), that during the Post-Production looked like a crumpled piece of paper.
That piece of paper served us to Doodle and Sketch the Characters, Backgrounds, Props etc, which looked something like these:-

As soon as our Character Designs were finalized, Model Sheets were prepared with Color palate.
Along with it the Storyboard was also on its development stage and finally it came out this way
And off course the sound designing and narration went side by side which required allot of Attention as it would serve as Base for our Animation.
Once all set, we started up with Animation and X-Sheet was prepared (which got lost in huge pile of papers)
Here are a few Line Tests, that were taken before they were finalized, Inked, Colored and Composited.
It has been a wonderful journey for Accomplishment of the Animation Design with:-
